Tessa Blanchard's name hasn't been out of the headlines these past few days, with the weekend's accusations of racism, bullying, and other nasty behaviour bringing up all kinds of stories relating to the new Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion and her character

One revolves around WWE, who booked Tessa as an NXT enhancement talent in 2016 then brought her back for the following year's Mae Young Classic. Given her promise and lineage, one may have assumed signing her would've been a no-brainer, but the promotion decided against it.

Per Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, this was because WWE knew of her alleged "attitude issues" and presumably decided they were bigger than her potential. Meltzer also stated that Impact knew and understood Tessa's reputation when they brought her in, but took a different stance to WWE, deciding the risk was worth it.

It's also being reported today that Blanchard and La Rosa Negra (the wrestler she allegedly racially abused) have buried the hatchet, with BodySlam.net reporting that "the issue has been resolved," with both wrestlers apologising to one another.

La Rosa Negra has uploaded a video claiming she left the incident in the past.
