Released WWE Wrestler Open To Return
This victim of WWE's swooping "budget cuts" is open to coming back. "Business is business."
Former WWE wrestler Briana 'B-Fab' Brandy is interested in returning to the promotion should the opportunity present itself.
Brandy, who was released by Vince McMahon's promotion in one of its swooping rounds of "budget cuts" on 4 November 2021, showed a willingness to go back to the market leaders during a recent appearance on The Angle Podcast. Interviewed by Joey Karni, she stated that "business is business" and she doesn't hold a grudge over her sacking (h/t Fightful):-
“I would be open to go back. For me, business is business, it is what it is. There is nothing you can do about big companies and decisions that they make. There is no reason to have any ill feelings, you just have to operate and do your thing as a business as well. I would go back.”
Continuing, Brandy said that while she hasn't yet had offers from other wrestling promotions, she is keeping herself busy:-
“As of now, no, but that’s also because I’m doing so many things right now. I have connections in both of those, who are like, ‘whatever happens, let us know,’ but there hasn’t been any interest in reaching out to us, wanting to bring the group or anything. You never know. People add things to their groups and change things all the time. You never what will happen.”
Brandy formed part of NXT's popular Hit Row stable with Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott, Top Dolla, and Ashante 'Thee' Adonis. Initially successful on the developmental brand, where Scott became North American Champion in June 2021, the group suffered upon being moved to SmackDown that October, working only a single match between them before being relegated to listless comedy segments.
Let go in early November, Brandy's release preceded her stablemates' by two weeks. Scott has since landed in AEW as Swerve Stickland. Brandy, Adonis, and Top Dolla, meanwhile, have reunited as HitMakerZ, and will appear at GCW's For The Culture event over WrestleMania weekend.
