Released WWE Wrestler Teases NXT Return
NXT black and gold is coming back - but is this released star?
NXT black and gold appears to be on the way back. Last night, on NXT 2.0's one-year anniversary show, WWE teased a full-on developmental transformation back towards something resembling the show's peak under Paul 'Triple H' Levesque, unveiling a new logo in the process.
Now, one of black and gold's former stars is running a tease of his own.
Biff Busick, the former Oney Lorcan, tweeted the new NXT logo shortly after what might end up being one of the last 2.0 broadcasts concluded:-

It should be pointed out that there had been no confirmation of WWE re-signing Lorcan at the time of writing. Nonetheless, the tease is overt.
Lorcan, 36, was signed to WWE from September 2015 until his November 2021 release, when his request to be let go from the promotion was granted. He wrestled exclusively on WWE's secondary brands during this period but stood out for his energizing style of wrestling and diverse skillset. This didn't bring him much in the way of singles success, though he and Danny Burch started a 153-day reign as NXT Tag Team Champions in October 2020.
2022 has seen Busick embark on an acclaimed indie run, partaking in stiff, competitive, hard-hitting matches with the likes of Brody King, Kevin Blackwood, Wheeler YUTA, and Jon Moxley.
