Renee Paquette was WWE personality Sam Roberts' guest on his Notsam Wrestling podcast earlier this week, touching on all kinds of topics relating to her wrestling and wrestling-adjacent career, including her time on the WWE Raw commentary team.

On her announcing role, the former Renee Young unveiled her old masterplan to escape her old Monday night role (h/t Fightful for the transcriptions):-

"I always figured I would be pregnant on commentary. I actually — here’s an inside scoop for you — I really wanted to get pregnant while I was on commentary, merely as a way to get off commentary [laughs]. Please let me get knocked up so I can get out of here. Bring in Samoa Joe, I’ll duck out."

The joking continued as Paquette said that if she went into labour at the desk, she'd want Michael Cole and Corey Graves doing play-by-play on it.

Commentating was one of many roles Paquette played as a WWE broadcaster. Having cut her teeth in the NXT and Superstars booths between 2013 and 2015, she became a full-time Raw announcer in September 2018 before being moved out of that position and over to SmackDown the following year, becoming a "special contributor" mixing interviewing, hosting, and other onscreen duties, never returning to the booth full-time.
