Bryan Alvarez reported similarly, stating that Matt was "on his way home" and that "all scans came out clean." Per Khan's tweet, we'll hear more from Hardy when he appears on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite.

Matt's wife, Reby, has been highly-critical of AEW's handling of the situation. She posted the following in response to Spectrum Sports reporter Jon Alba, who had questioned the promotion's reportage:-

Reby had previously stated that Matt "1000%" suffered a concussion and that he was having further imaging done in the hospital. On top of this, she has directly questioned Alvarez's tweet and criticising the promotion in multiple replies.

This situation arose after Hardy appeared to strike his head on concrete during his Broken Rules match with Sammy Guevara, appearing woozy, disorientated, and out of it in the aftermath. The match was allowed to continue after a short, 104-second consultation with AEW's doctor, who ruled Hardy was fit to continue, allowing him to scale a scaffold mere minutes after taking the horror-bump.
