KUSHIDA will be aligned with the Motor City Machine Guns moving forward in IMPACT Wrestling.

This comes via 411 Mania, who reported a series of IMPACT Wrestling notes. Among them was news that the trio will be a "regular team" in IMPACT, adding to the company's established doubles and trios division. A match graphic promoting IMPACT's Second City Slamm tapings billed them as the Motor City Time Splitters.

KUSHIDA has been with the Anthem-helmed promotion since their mid-July Derby City Rumble tapings, debuting when he saved Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley from Violent By Design. A rivalry between the warring sides has encompassed The Time Splitter's run thus far, losing to Eric Young and Deaner - alongside Sabin - during Friday's Emergence special.

Pre-IMPACT, KUSHIDA was floating between the NXT and 205 Live brands of WWE, failing to reach his full potential in the company. A stint as NXT Cruiserweight Champion faded away once NXT 2.0 was launched and a partnership with Ikemen Jiro dubbed Jacket Time was KUSHIDA's last note of business in WWE.

He returned to NJPW before his appearances for IMPACT began, setting his sights on the Junior Heavyweight Championship and thus, its current holder Taiji Ishimori.
