Madison Rayne could soon be leaving her role as Impact Wrestling colour commentator, as reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The reasons for this remain unclear at the time of writing.

Meltzer notes that Impact management are seeking a new person for the role to join lead commentator Josh Mathews for the weekly Impact programming. Typically, Mathews is joined by Don Callis for pay-per-view events, although it's unclear if this will remain the case given Callis' involvement with Kenny Omega.

A former five-time Knockouts Champion and two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion, Madison Rayne joined her real-life husband behind the announce booth earlier this year, replacing Callis as a full-time commentator. To her credit, 'The Queen Bee' has provided some great announcing for the promotion over the past few months, and has only missed one full week since beginning, that being the week she served as Johnny Swinger's lawyer in Wrestler's Court.

Regarding who'll replace the knockouts legend, Matt Striker has to be at the top of the list, considering he not only replaced Madison the week she was absent, but also covered the Bound For Glory pre-show alongside Don Callis. The former WWE wrestler and announcer has proven he can still provide decent announcing, so Impact should certainly consider offering him a full-time position,
