Report: Mauro Ranallo In "Rough Shape" After Corey Graves Incident
Bad news regarding the popular WWE NXT announcer.
Mauro Ranallo is said to be in "rough shape" following the weekend's Twitter criticism from WWE colleague Corey Graves.
This is according to Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, with the journalist stating that Ranallo, whose mental health struggles are well-documented, has had a bad few days, adding that "it's a day-by-day thing."
Meltzer also reports that the situation is likely worse than has been reported so far, though WWE have been in contract with Mauro and manager Frank Shamrock about when he might return to television. There's currently no word on when this might be, though Meltzer believes that Ranallo does want to come back when his health permits him to.
Recent steps in the Graves/Ranallo drama have seen Corey apologise to Shamrock, whom he bickered with on Twitter, before using his After The Bell podcast to say sorry for "offending, disrespecting, and disparaging" shortly after. Recent reports suggest he made the tweet to stoke the fire as part of Survivor Series' "Brand Supremacy" theme, and that Graves decided against deleted the original tweet for fear of making things work.
However this shakes out, let's hope Ranallo is moving towards a healthier mental place.
