How WWE handled their COVID-19 protocols following the latest outbreak at the Performance Center has reportedly sparked frustration in NXT.

This is according to a new report from Fightful Select, covering issues relating to last week's Halloween Havoc special. Indi Hartwell had to be pulled from the show, meaning a ringer was brought in to interfere in Johnny Gargano vs. Damian Priest and Io Shirai vs. Candice LeRae, which irritated people within NXT who felt this would have been a hot storyline that people would have been invested in.

Making the situation worse is WWE not altering the testing protocols upon resuming training classes. Rather than opting for daily tests, the promotion has opted to proceed the exact same way as before, despite the recent outbreak. This has caused further frustrations.

As reported on 27 October, WWE's third reported COVID-19 outbreak stemmed from an in-house practice live event held at the Performance Center on 23 October. The promotion advised individuals who were in attendance to enter a two-week quarantine period regardless of whether they tested positive or negative.

Hartwell will likely still be unveiled as the mystery attacker. It should be noted that there is no indication of her testing positive.
