Rey Fenix appears to be okay despite rolling his ankle during last week's AEW Rampage tapings.

Dave Meltzer reports in Figure Four Online/Wrestling Observer's Daily Update column that Fenix went over his ankle towards the end of the Lucha Brothers' bout with Private Party, which aired on the 15 July Rampage. Limping as the show went off the air, Fenix was unable to put weight on the joint - though he was wrestling again by the end of the week.

Rampage was taped following Wednesday 13 July's live Dynamite show. Rey was then back in the ring for an AAA event on Friday, winning a four-way with Flamita, Willie Mack, and Jack Cartwheel.

Meltzer states that the Lucha Brother isn't currently scheduled to miss any time.

Fenix, 31, has struggled with injuries in 2022. He missed close to four months through a dislocated elbow after being chokeslammed through a table by Luchasaurus on Dynamite's 5 January episode, not returning until 27 April. Since then, Fenix has kept a busy schedule for both AEW and AAA - including acclaimed matches with The Young Bucks, Andrade El Idolo, and more.
