Report: Shayna Baszler A "Wanted Woman" On WWE's Main Roster
NXT Women's Champion top of Raw and SmackDown's wishlists?
Shayna Baszler could be near the top of WWE's list when the time comes to decide who's next for a main roster call-up.
This is according to Dave Meltzer who, on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, stated that 'The Queen Of Spades' has been "wanted on Raw or SmackDown' for a long, long time. WWE had apparently planned on calling her up by now, but the Wednesday Night Wars with AEW necessitated keeping her on NXT, presumably to help with star power.
The reigning NXT Women's Champion had a mixed Survivor Series weekend. Her villainous team fell at TakeOver: WarGames III, despite holding a four-on-two advantage after Dakota Kai's betrayal of Tegan Nox, with Baszler herself taking the pinfall. This could set up another title fight with Rhea Ripley.
Shayna fared better at Survivor Series itself, besting Bayley and Becky Lynch in the night's main event, ensuring that NXT walked away with more brand supremacy wins than Raw and SmackDown combined. This heat was negated somewhat when Lynch beat her down after the bell.
Whatever the future holds, there's little fresh ground for Baszler to tread on NXT. A call-up could come sooner than we think.
