Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Danielson has "got a lot of booking influence" in the company, with founder and CEO Tony Khan being of the belief that his and Bryan's thought processes are "kinda the same thing" when it comes to wrestling.

Khan and Danielson reportedly spend a lot of time "bouncing stuff off each other." Last week's presentation of Rampage as "Championship Night", with multiple titles on the line, was reportedly a product of this.

Summarising, Meltzer stated that Bryan has "a lot of influence", having become a "very key part of creative" in AEW.

Fightful Select reports in May that Danielson had started contributing to AEW creative ahead of the promotion's Collision launch in mid-June. 'The American Dragon' was expected to become a helping hand on Saturday nights, having previously earned plaudits for his work in a similar role in WWE.

Beyond Danielson and Khan, Sonjay Dutt, QT Marshall, Will Washington, Jerry Lynn, Dean Malenko, and Christopher Daniels are understood to have roles in AEW's creative department, while many top stars have a say in their own storylines.
