Paul 'Triple H' Levesque wants his first WrestleMania at WWE's creative helm to be a shorter affair than usual, though this isn't sitting well with talent.

WrestlingNews.co reports that Triple H is angling for a "smaller card" with WrestleMania 39 (1 and 2 April). As a consequence of this, many wrestlers who have been working WWE television on a regular basis this year won't make it onto the show - and may be forced to take in the show from backstage.

WWE does not currently plan on booking a battle royal for WrestleMania 39, though there's no word on whether or not the traditional Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal. This means that "only a small handful of talent" will make the card.

Specifically, talents are unhappy about WrestleMania slots being occupied by legends and celebrities. None are on the lineup currently, though Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins is expected to be announced imminently - and more could conceivably follow.

WWE's plans could change between now and WrestleMania 39, which takes place in Inglewood, California. For now, talent WrestleNews.co spoke to weren't happy about the prospect of missing out on the show.
