All Elite Wrestling wasn't the only promotion to be enamoured by Bandido's performance on last week's episode of Dynamite.

Per Bryan Alvarez on the latest Wrestling Observer Live, WWE was attempting to get hold of the former Ring Of Honor Champion's phone number during his bout with Chris Jericho, trying to land the contact details before the final bell had gone. Bandido ended up losing to Jericho in the ROH Title fight though it was comfortably the most widely-praised thing on Dynamite, landing a ****1/4 rating from Alvarez's Observer cohort Dave Meltzer.

Meltzer reported last week that following Dynamite, Bandido was offered a full-time contract by AEW, whose CEO and founder, Tony Khan, enthusiastically greeted the 27-year-old on the ramp after the broadcast had ended. Whether or not a deal has been agreed upon isn't yet clear.

Bandido has technically been a free agent for at least a few months, as ROH-contracted talents were released from their obligations upon Sinclair Broadcasting's 2021 announcement that the promotion was going on hiatus. March 2022 then brought the announcement that Khan had purchased the cult brand for an undisclosed sum.

Bandido has wrestled once under Khan's ROH banner, falling to Jonathan Gresham at Supercard Of Honor 2022 (1 April).
