Report: WWE Has NOT Given Up On Riddick Moss
There's life for the former 24/7 Champion in WWE yet, it seems.
WWE fans should not take Riddick Moss' extended absence from Monday Night Raw as a sign that the promotion has given up on him.
This is according to Dave Meltzer, who writes in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while Moss has been added to the list of wrestlers to disappear from television without explanation, there is no indication that the company has lost faith in him. Meltzer refers to the disappearances as "the new normal."
Moss has undergone one of WWE's more curious 2020 pushes. Promoted to the main roster as Mojo Rawley's sidekick on 27 January, Riddick turned on the former Hype Bro just two weeks later, taking his 24/7 Championship. A series of traditional, un-gimmicked title defences followed, with Moss facing the likes of Cedric Alexander and Ricochet, before R-Truth pinned the 30-year-old while he was out jogging on 10 March. Moss hasn't been seen since.
The former college football player looked a great athlete in his fleeting Raw appearances, though his limited ring time makes it hard to get a true gauge on his prospect. Still, he has athletic pedigree, a good look, and a bit of charisma, which bodes well for his future.
