Report: WWE May Not Return To Regular Schedule Until 2022
The New Normal or just "the normal"?
WWE looks set to operate on some kind of limited schedule until 2022, according to WrestleVotes.
The news and rumours account reported the following on Thursday:-
Things can change at the drop of a hat at the moment, with the ongoing global health crisis wildly unpredictable. One would assume that a positive change in circumstances could lead to WWE going back to a "normal" schedule earlier than this, though the promotion is right to approach things with as much caution as possible, as there's no way of completely eliminating the risks involved with travelling at the moment.
WWE recent extended its ThunderDome residency in Orlando's Amway Center until the end of November. The original contract expired in late October, though the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online's Bryan Alvarez has stated WWE intends on staying there until at least January 2021.
Florida State Governor Ron DeSantis recently opened the door for attended professional sporting events to resume unhindered, despite the Sunshine State reporting more than 15,000 deaths related to COVID-19. No organisation is yet to take advantage of this, however, with the Miami Dolphins limiting their 65,000-seater stadium to just 13,000 fans.
