Ridge Holland could be set for a bright WWE future - if the Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online's Bryan Alvarez is to be believed.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live before last night's episode of NXT, Alvarez stated that a lot of people within WWE had been speaking to him about Holland, with many stating their belief that the 32-year-old "has the potential to be the next big thing, which is saying something."

Holland wrestled his first NXT US match last night. It was a qualifier for TakeOver XXX's North American Title ladder match and while the Englishman didn't win, he was given several highlighted moments throughout. He was out the equation as Damian Priest pinned Oney Lorcan to take the victory.

Ridge had previously been active in NXT UK before the British brand was put on ice at the onset of the ongoing global health crisis, though he was introduced to American audiences through a video package last week. He has been in the WWE system since May 2018, having successfully transitioning from professional rugby to wrestling, making his debut against Oliver Carter in November 2019.

Alvarez's comments means Holland's career will now be an interesting one to follow.
