WrestleVotes has come through with a fresh update on WWE SummerSlam 2020, claiming there will not be fans in attendance at the 23 August pay-per-view after all.

This comes following weeks of reports suggesting that WWE was attempting to source a location that would allow a limited audience to watch 'The Biggest Party of the Summer' live. Places such as Atlantic City, New Jersey had been mentioned, with venues as diverse as a cruise ship and a beach (!) both entering the conversation, as NJ state guidance would allow up to 500 people to attend an outdoor show.

One thing that's for certain, however, is that SummerSlam 2020 won't go down at the WWE Performance Center:-

PWInsider has come through with their own report stating that the pay-per-view won't be held in Atlantic City, but will take place somewhere in Florida. A more specific location wasn't mentioned.

SummerSlam 2020 goes down on 23 August. That's less than two weeks ago, so it's crazy to think that WWE hasn't been able to source a venue yet. Still, these are crazy, crazy times, and Vince McMahon is reportedly sick of PPVs playing out in an empty Performance Center.
