It sounds like things didn't quite go to plan as WWE tested talent for the virus currently ravaging the globe yesterday, doing so for the very first time.

The move came on the back of an unnamed developmental wrestler testing positive, leading to the promotion shutting down their planned tapings for the day. Filming was set to continue today, with next week's Raw, SmackDown, and NXT seemingly on the docket.

A report from Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp states that wrestlers were frustrated about not being made aware of the positive test (which happened on 9 June) until yesterday. Bryan Alvarez has said similar, alleging that talent found out about the tests when the story emerged on social media.

PWInsider report that yesterday's tests were a disorganised affair, particularly early in the day, with the roster and crew members present reportedly worried about the situation. Most were concerned about the risk of potentially spreading it to their families, with one source noting this was the reason Roman Reigns isn't on television at the moment. In addition, some sources were upset with WWE's decision to allow small numbers of fans into Monday's tapings, as they can't be contact traced, and the wrestlers weren't informed of their presence in advance.
