Dexter Lumis became the latest former NXT star to return to WWE under the Triple H regime, doing so during last night's episode of Raw.

Following in the footsteps of recent returnees Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and Dakota Kai, Lumis showed up towards the end of the broadcast, having been released by the promotion on the same day as Kai in April. The hoodie-clad mute was seen being restrained by the security team at ringside, having seemingly tried to leap the barricade following AJ Styles' main event win over The Miz.

Backstage chaos preceded this. At one point, police officers were shown rushing to the scene of a car accident in the parking lot, though whether or not this was directly linked to Lumis showing up is unconfirmed.

Fightful Select had reported prior to Raw that Lumis was amongst the names WWE had talked about bringing back, with the promotion considering reaching out to him last week. Pre-release, the 38-year-old was a featured midcard player in Triple H's NXT, where he was aligned with Indi Hartwell, Johnny Gargano, Theory, and Candice LeRae in The Way, marrying Hartwell on-air in September 2021.

Theory and Hartwell remain with WWE to this day. Gargano and LeRae have both departed following the expiration of their contracts, though Gargano, in particular, has been linked with a comeback.
