Rey Mysterio Set For WWE Return Later This Year?
Talks said to be 'ongoing'.
Speaking on yesterday's edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Dave Meltzer commented that lucha libre superstar Rey Mysterio could be in line for a WWE return come September.
Meltzer opined, "There was no deal made as of a week ago. It certainly is something talked about. I think the general feeling was around September because he's got commitments all summer long he wanted to keep."
Mysterio made a dramatic cameo at January's Royal Rumble, looking in tremendous form and tremendous shape. He was heavily linked with a possible WrestleMania appearance - specifically, opposite John Cena - only for a torn biceps to rule him out of the festivities. A fortnight after the New Orleans special, the high-flyer turned up for another one-off with the company, making up the numbers amongst 50 men in Jeddah's Greatest Royal Rumble.
