Rey Mysterio's Son Dominick Begins Wrestling Training
Dominick's return to the ring!
If talent runs in the family, the world of pro wrestling is getting close to welcoming a brand-new star.
According to a post on his Instagram account, former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio is celebrating his 19-year-old son Dominick's first day of wrestling school:
Mysterio wasn't the only legend who took a hand in getting his son acclimated to the ring. Konnan was also in attendance at Imperial Beach, California's Battle U - Pro Wrestling School, helping show Dominick the ropes.
Longtime fans will remember that, despite his young age, Dominick is no newcomer to pro wrestling. In 2005, the then 8-year-old became a pawn in Eddie Guerrero's war with Mysterio when the late, great Guerrero revealed that he, in fact, was Dominick's biological father, and Mysterio and wife Angie had adopted the boy. Those revelations shook Mysterio's family, but the worst was yet to come.
Heading into SummerSlam 2005, Guerrero threatened to reclaim custody of Dominick, so the warring fathers eventually decided to settle their issues in the ring. At that show, the boy's custody was put on the line in a ladder match, but Mysterio picked up the win to keep his family intact.
