Ric Flair Pitches One Final WWE Match...Against Vince McMahon!
Retiring wrestling legend Ric Flair wants Vince McMahon at WWE SummerSlam.
Ric Flair has challenged none other than Vince McMahon to wrestle him in "one last encounter" at WWE's upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view on 30 July.
Yes, you're reading that correctly.
The 'Nature Boy' told listeners on his podcast that he'd love to step inside the ring opposite McMahon one last time before hanging up his boots; Ric's last match is scheduled for 31 July at Starrcast. There, he'll team with AEW sensations FTR against The Rock N' Roll Express and a mystery partner.
That "mystery partner" has been rumoured to be everyone from Ricky Steamboat to Hulk Hogan. One thing's for sure: Vince won't step in to plug the gap. The WWE boss did work a match at WrestleMania 38, but there's just no way he'd agree to roll around with Flair...is there?!
No, surely not.
Ric has pitched an easy night for Vince though. He said, "I'll take the bumps", and reckons the crowd would "go crazy" if he bladed and fell flat on his face. Flair closed his pitch by asking, "How easy is that?".
How does McMahon's classic entrance theme go? Oh yeah, there's "no chance in hell!".
