Ric Flair was added back to WWE's signature opening video with minimal fanfare on last night's Raw, having been pulled from it back in September 2021.

The video featured Flair's signature "Wooooo!" and a twirl from the robe-clad 16-time world champion for the first time in nine months. This did not go unnoticed by Ric, who, having previously criticised WWE for pulling him, thanked the promotion for restoring his "dignity and life."

Flair was removed from the signature opening following the resurfacing of accusations made against him during 2002's infamous Plane Ride From Hell, where Flair allegedly committed sexual assault against flight attendant Heidi Doyle. A near-naked Flair is purported to have forced Doyle to touch his exposed penis as WWE personnel flew back from the United Kingdom to the United States, with the story re-entering prominence via a September 2021 episode of Dark Side of the Ring.

The 73-year-old has been out of WWE since reportedly asking for his release in August 2021. Flair has since made appearances for a handful of promotions including AAA and the NWA. 31 July, meanwhile, will see him compete in what is being billed as his last ever wrestling match, though his opponent is yet to be confirmed for the Starrcast-promoted event taking place over WWE SummerSlam 2022 weekend.
