Yes, it's true. Before he was RK-Bro with Randy Orton, Riddle was real-life 'Blues Bros' with Meanie. The reigning Raw Tag-Team Champion told Ryan Satin on 'Out Of Character' that he actually credits the former ECW and bWo star for much of his success.

Meanie was one of Riddle's original trainers, but it wasn't just key wrestling fundamentals that the guy offered. No, according to Riddle, Meanie was the "sweetest guy" away from the ring and helped him by just being damn lovely to be around.

That generosity and those good vibes made Riddle even more determined to make it and do Meanie's mentorship justice. This isn't something the WWE star has spoken a whole lot about - most fans know about his MMA roots and his time in companies like PWG and EVOLVE, but The Blue Meanie's name never really comes up.

Riddle trained under him at The Monster Factory school. Despite the threatening name of the place, he found everyone there super-approachable. Meanie was the cheeriest of the lot though, and his infectious personality rubbed off on Riddle immediately.
