With Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff already announced for the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame, it looks like Rob Van Dam could be set to join them.

As reported by Fightful Select, WWE plans to induct Van Dam as part of the 2021 HOF class during WrestleMania 37 Week.

Currently a free agent after departing IMPACT Wrestling last year, RVD has a WWE Icons episode set to premiere on the WWE Network in the coming weeks – and the belief is that this episode will feature the news of the Whole F’n Show’s Hall of Fame induction.

Having competed in the USWA, All Japan Pro Wrestling and briefly WCW, Van Dam’s big break came when he landed in Paul Heyman’s Land of Extreme in 1996. Across the next five years, RVD became the hottest star in the company and one of the most popular names in the entire pro wrestling business.

Mr Monday Night’s WWE tenure would commence in 2001, with him brought into the company as part of the Invasion angle. In several stints with the promotion over the years, Van Dam’s accolades include being the WWE Champion, ECW World Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion, European Champion, Tag Team Champion, Hardcore Champion and a Money in the Bank winner.

RVD’s last full-time run with WWE came to a close in 2014, although he did make an appearance on July 2019’s Raw Reunion special. For the majority of the time between his various WWE stints, the Battle Creek, Michigan native was competing for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.

This year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will air on Tuesday 6 April, with both the 2021 and 2020 classes being inducted at the same time.
