The Rock appeared on ESPN's Sportscenter on Tuesday morning to promote his new film Hercules. He did an interview for about ten minutes talking about his football career, wrestling and acting. When asked if he wanted to have one more match he answered: "Yes, possibly." As he gave that answer he had a big smile on his face. Maybe the smile means nothing because Rock always smiles, but perhaps there is some plan in place for him to wrestle for WWE again most likely at WrestleMania 31 next March. At one point the host also asked him what was harder between playing college football, wrestling in WWE or filming a movie like Hercules. Rock said wrestling in WWE was harder and noted the schedule being so demanding. That's true because no other job would put him on the road four or five days per week and take a physical toll on his body. Rock also discussed the injury he suffered at WrestleMania 29 last year against John Cena. He mentioned that he could tell something happened. He told a story about how he used his hand to feel that there wasn't a bone sticking out, so he knew that it had to be more of an internal injury. The ref asked him if he was okay and he said he was because he didn't want the ref worrying about him. In his mind he knew he could keep going because it was just a limp. He added that when he took the Attitude Adjustment from Cena for the finish (he called it the "Attitude Adjuster" by mistake) he ended up hurting it even more when he landed. His injuries during the match were a hernia, torn adductor and torn abdominal muscle. He had a surgery to repair those injuries and then he had to film Hercules right after. Regarding one more match for The Rock, there's plenty of speculation that he could be involved at WrestleMania 31 in some way. There are possible matches out there with Brock Lesnar or his cousin Roman Reigns although there's a chance those two guys will face each other. At this point it's only a rumor, but with Rock smiling about it that's going to make people think that it has a good chance of happening. What could hurt the chances of Rock showing up would be all the budget cuts that WWE is doing these days. When you're trying to save money it doesn't make sense that you would spend millions of dollars to bring in one guy for one match even if he is one of the biggest movie stars in the world. There's also a strong rumor that The Rock may be the headline name at WWE's Hall of Fame in 2015 as well. He could still do that and have a match too. Obviously he'll be in WWE's Hall of Fame one day. It's just a matter of when. The Rock stars in Hercules, which hits theatres on July 25th.
