Rockstar Spud's WWE Debut Next Week?
The ex-TNA man's arrival is imminent.
Former Impact Wrestling personality Rockstar Spud is scheduled to debut for WWE sometime during next week's set of TV tapings, according to PWInsider.
Signed in early November, the English grappler has been kept on the sidelines for over a month, but now looks set to become a major fixture in the Cruiserweight division. This means he'll soon show up on either Raw or 205 Live, though there's no indication of who he'll initially be working with.
Once a prominent part of the pre-boom UK independent scene, Spud's first TNA appearances came through their British Boot Camp competition in 2013. He joined the promotion full-time later in the year, and fast became a prominent figure, having aligned himself with company president Dixie Carter early on.
He became X Division Champion twice in 2015, holding the belt for 43 cumulative days, but faded from prominence prior to his release this October. Spud is now expected to play a prominent role within the Cruiserweight division. He'll lead the group alongside Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore and the soon-to-debut Hideo Itami, as the company continue to experiment with 205 Live's format in 2018.
