Roman Reigns Becomes A 'Paul Heyman Guy' On WWE SmackDown
A 'Big Dog' and an 'Advocate' walk into a bar...
Roman Reigns has teamed up with Paul Heyman ahead of this Sunday's WWE Payback pay-per-view.
The 'Big Dog' returned at SummerSlam with a bang and a new heelish edge. Any fears that WWE would revert him back into happy, smily Roman quickly were allayed on SmackDown when Reigns revealed that he's the latest 'Paul Heyman Guy'.
His heel turn is official, folks, and this doesn't seem to be a short-term fix either. It'll have a knock on effect of turning Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' babyface - all signs are that WWE want to run with that character as SmackDown leading good guy.
Not Roman Reigns and not Braun Strowman.
Big Braun has become a full-time heel again too, but it's Reigns who has undergone the most interesting character change over the past week. Few could've predicted that he'd return when he did and link up with Brock Lesnar's 'Advocate' in the process.
Heyman played an understandably smug role on SmackDown. In storyline, he has just convinced one of his oldest enemies to become his next client.
It'll be interesting to see how Roman does as a heel. He's got great presence, and should thrive.
