Has WWE reverted to the plan of having Riddle challenge Roman Reigns at Money In The Bank 2022? Last night's Raw left that impression, with the RK-Bro member calling out the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for a title fight.

This happened during a Miz TV segment that initially seemed calibrated only to deliver Maryse's return to WWE programming. Promising to take Reigns' title away from him, Riddle challenged Miz, surviving an ambush from Ciampa to eventually make it to the match. Two minutes after the opening bell, the RK-Bro member felled Miz via RKO.

Roman was not on Raw to answer Riddle's challenge, though his cousins, The Usos, lost to The Street Profits immediately after Riddle vs. The Miz.

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported on Monday that WWE hadn't yet decided upon its top Money in The Bank plans. Reigns was originally pegged to face Riddle on the 2 July premium live event. At some point, this changed, though Meltzer noted the possibility of WWE going back to the original plan.

Riddle, Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre have all been mentioned as potential Reigns opponents in recent months. The reigning Undisputed Universal Champion will pass two years as WWE's top title-holder should his run extend beyond 30 August.
