Roman Reigns will face Erick Rowan at the forthcoming Clash of Champions pay-per-view, after the former tag team champion attacked Reigns and turned on Daniel Bryan in the main event of last night's episode of SmackDown Live.

Rowan jumped Reigns as he was heading to the ring to confront Daniel Bryan regarding the mystery attacks he has been subjected to in recent weeks. After admitting he was behind the assaults and laying out the former Universal Champion with an Iron Claw, Rowan put Daniel Bryan through the announce table before standing tall to close the show.

Excluding the final of the King of the Ring tournament, Roman versus Rowan is the only non-title match set for Clash of Champions, finally concluding the whodunit saga which started before SummerSlam.

Monday Night Raw saw the announcement that Sasha Banks will challenge Becky Lynch for her Raw Women's Championship, whilst Bayley, who turned heel in the main event of Raw, will defend her SmackDown Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair.

Clash of Champions also sees The Revival facing The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, The Miz versus Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship, and a triple threat match between Drew Gulak, Humberto Carillo & Lince Dorado for Gulak's Cruiserweight Championship.

The WWE Championship will also be on the line as Kofi Kingston takes on Randy Orton as part of their highly-personal feud which is steeped in history.

Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman will battle it out for the Universal Championship in the main event, but not before defending their Raw Tag Team Championships in a match with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
