Ronda Rousey Announces Birth Of Baby Girl
Congrats to Ronda Rouse and Travis Browne on the birth of La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne!
Huge congratulations are due to proud parents Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne, who have just welcomed their new daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, to the world.
Rousey broke the news via her Instagram page on Monday evening (27 September), posting a couple of images of her baby's hand. The name is a nod to La'akea's father's Hawaiian heritage.
April saw Ronda and Travis announce they were expecting their first child together. Rousey noted, at the time, that she had been pregnant since January, with 22 September given as her due date. The couple then announced that their baby would be a girl via a creative gender reveal video posted in June.
Though La'akea is Browne's first child with Rousey, he has two sons (Kaleo and Keawe) from a previous marriage. The former UFC heavyweight has not fought since July 2017.
Rousey, meanwhile, has been out of a WWE ring since dropping the Raw Women's Championship in the WrestleMania 35 main event in April 2019. Though WWE President Nick Khan has stated otherwise, having hyped a potential return earlier this year (prior to the pregnancy announcement), it is believed that Ronda is likely retired from wrestling.
