Ronda Rousey has ripped into the WWE creative team for how it handled her SmackDown Women's Championship feud with Liv Morgan, claiming the program was "hamstrung by a bunch of octogenarians."

Rousey made these comments in an Instagram post on Sunday. Attached with a clip featuring Ronda preparing for a show at Anaheim, California's Honda Center (presumably the 16 September 2022 episode of SmackDown), they read:-

Imagine what our @yaonlylivvonce feud could have been if we weren’t hamstrung by a bunch of octogenarians who still think they know how to be hip while putting less than 5 minutes of thought a week into each women’s storyline… ? new #RondaOnTheRoad

Morgan and Rousey feuded extensively over the SmackDown Women's Championship last summer and autumn, with Liv defeating Ronda to take the strap at the 2 July Money In The Bank 2022 premium live event. This came via cash-in, with Morgan capturing the women's briefcase earlier in the evening.

Two rematches followed, with Rousey ultimately taking revenge at Extreme Rules in October, reclaiming her championship from Liv.

Rousey was then dethroned by a returning Charlotte Flair on SmackDown's 30 December 2022 episode.
