Ronda Rousey's WWE WrestleMania 38 Opponent REVEALED - Royal Rumble 2022 Spoilers?
Potential WWE Royal Rumble 2022 spoilers as Ronda Rousey's 'Mania opponent is revealed.
WWE currently plans on booking Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey as one of WrestleMania 38's marquee matches.
This is according to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, who reports that WWE will likely start building towards the match at tonight's Royal Rumble 2022 show, either during the titular women's bout or in a separate angle.
It is anticipated that the Rumble will host Rousey's first WWE appearance since April 2019. The former Raw Women's Champion has signed a new contract "in excess of one year" with the promotion and is expected to join the SmackDown roster upon returning, where Flair currently reigns as Women's Champion.
In an unorthodox move for a top title-holder, Flair will enter tonight's women's Royal Rumble.
Rousey and her team arrived in St. Louis, Missouri ahead of the Rumble on Friday. While nothing has been confirmed yet, there has been chatter of her showing up on Monday's episode of Raw.
Meltzer states that WWE considered Rousey vs. Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch for 'Mania 38. That the company is yet to deliver a singles match between the two rivals following their planned Survivor Series 2018 clash's cancellation means this would make sense, though WWE may now opt to save Rousey vs. Lynch for 'Mania 39.
WrestleMania 38 takes place in Arlington, Texas on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April.
