Rumours on the former TNT Champion's status had been swirling all week, stemming from an unsubstantiated report. Fightful consulted sources close to the situation, who would have direct knowledge of any such goings-on, and each of them stated that the rumours were untrue.

Miro is currently bound to AEW until early 2026, agreeing to a contract extension with the Tony Khan-helmed promotion in late 2021. The 37-year-old has been with the group since debuting in September 2020.

This Sunday's All Out 2022 pay-per-view will see Miro team with Sting and Darby Allin to face Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews of the House of Black. Miro has worked only three matches for the promotion this year, having missed time first due to injury, then to focus on filming for an upcoming television show named East New York. His last bout was the four-way for the vacant All-Atlantic Championship at AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door on 26 June.

A recent appearance on The Sessions with Renee Paquette saw Miro claim that he was happy in AEW, particularly with the promotion's lax schedule compared to WWE.
