Contrary to a rumour that swirled around the internet on Tuesday, 'Hangman' Adam Page has not walked out of All Elite Wrestling.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson moved to kill the speculation shortly after its emergence. Page remains a contracted AEW wrestler, while the statement purported to be from company founder and CEO Tony Khan supporting the rumour is completely false.

Said statement claimed that Page had opted to leave AEW as a consequence of the already-infamous post-All Out 2022 media scrum brawl between the company's Executive Vice Presidents on one side, and CM Punk and Ace Steel on the other. This is not the case. Such communications would be circulated via AEW, not third parties - which hasn't happened.

Although Page was amongst Punk's targets in the incendiary media scrum that sparked the backstage confrontation, he is not believed to have been involved in the melee that followed. The former AEW World Champion is a close affiliate of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, onscreen and off.

Elsewhere, Fightful Select reports that the outlet has heard of no connection between the All Out incident and Hangman's prior issues with working too stiff in the ring. Arn Anderson had previously pulled Page aside backstage and told him to tone things down in this regard. Until Spring, when they feuded over the AEW World Title, most in AEW assumed Page and Punk got along well.
