Rumour: WWE Stomping Grounds Set For MAJOR Last-Minute Changes?

Is the 23 June pay-per-view set for a big shake-up?

WWE Stomping Grounds looks like one of the stalest pay-per-views in recent memory, with the 23 June card largely populated by rematches and other poorly-built scraps.

Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre, Lacey Evans vs. Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin, and Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler are all retreads of bouts that happened at WrestleMania, Money In The Bank, or Super ShowDown. Samoa Joe vs. Ricochet was only established on last night's Raw. Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss revives a feud that saw the current SmackDown Women's Champion buried in 2017, and Tony Nese hasn't even learned his opponent yet.

This lack of enthusiasm has been reflected by borderline shocking ticket sales. Now, there's talk that WWE might seek to remedy this with a slew of big card changes.

WrestleVotes tweeted last night that WWE are "aware" of the situation, and that there has been talk of "shaking up the card," though, tellingly, there is nothing that they "can confidently report on yet."

As with any WrestleVotes rumour, a hint of cynicism should be applied here. Still, that WWE would chop this PPV to pieces on such short notice is entirely believable. Perhaps something big will go down on tonight's SmackDown.
