Sami Callihan Re-Signs With Impact Wrestling
Former World Champion confirms a two-year contract extension on Twitter.
Sami Callihan isn't leaving Impact Wrestling any time soon.
'The Draw' announced via his Twitter account that he has signed a new two-year deal with Impact, with the contract reportedly being for "big money".
It had previously been reported that Callihan, alongside other top names like Ethan Page and Taya Valkyrie, had contracts expiring at the beginning of 2021. Mike Johnson of PWInsider had noted that while Page was expected to depart, Sami was slated to sign a new contract.
It goes without saying that Callihan has become one of the company's top performers since debuting at the 2017 Bound For Glory pay-per-view. In his three years with Impact, Sami has taken part in some of the more barbaric and shocking moments of the Scott D'Amore and Don Callis era. His rivalries with Brian Cage and Tessa Blanchard remain some of the most talked-about stories in Impact over the past few years.
Sami is set to collide with Eddie Edwards on the 5 January edition of Impact Wrestling, reigniting a rivalry that was once a hot talking point within the wrestling business.
