Saraya Admits She Was "A Little Rusty" On AEW Dynamite
AEW newcomer admits to being a little out of practice on Wednesday's Dynamite.
Saraya has admitted that she felt "a little rusty" on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite, which saw her address the promotion for the first time since debuting.
The former Paige came through the company's doors at last week's Grand Slam special, hitting the ring to interrupt Jamie Hayter, Rebel, Serena Deeb, and Britt Baker's beatdown of Athena and Toni Storm. This came after Toni had triumphed in a four-way bout to retain her Interim AEW Women's World Championship against Athena, Deeb, and Baker.
It was the first time she had made a live, in-arena wrestling appearance in years, having been removed from her televised WWE role long before leaving the promotion in July. On Dynamite, she played a pseudo authority figure's role, assembling the women's division in the ring before attaching a lumberjack stipulation to Storm and Deeb's planned singles match.
Saraya, who did the majority of the talking in the pre-match segment, praised the other women involved while noting her rust:-
On a good note I’m so proud of the women yesterday. Not only did they get more than 5 mins to have a match. It was the first ever lumberjack match. A woman on commentary and a good portion of the roster being showcased. That’s a win (even if I was a little rusty ?)

The former WWE Divas Champion was forced to retire from wrestling in 2018, having suffered a reoccurrence of a serious neck injury in December 2017. Now under a three-year AEW contract, whether or not she will compete again is unclear.
