Sean O'Haire's Death An Apparent Suicide
TMZ is reporting that the superstar's death was caused by a self-inflicted hanging.
Sean OHaire had passed away. The 43 year old, former professional wrestler was found dead inside his Spartanburg, South Carolina home on September 8th. Further details have now come about courtesy of TMZ. According to the tabloid, OHaire -- real name Sean Christopher Haire -- was found by his father at some point on Monday. Reportedly, OHaires death was the result of an apparent suicide. He was found next to this bed with a rope tied around his neck which was connected to the bedpost. While the cause of death has not officially been given -- as the Spartanburg coroner is currently awaiting toxicology results -- no foul play has been suspected. Sadly, OHaires name has now been added to the growing list of wrestling superstars to pass at a relatively young age. Even more shocking is the fact that his death was apparently self-induced. OHaire is most often remembered for his stint with the Natural Born Thrillers in WCW -- even capturing the WCW World Tag Team Championship on three occasions. In WWE, vignettes aired hyping a new Devils advocate-like character for OHaire, but the idea was ultimately scrapped. He was instead paired up with the legendary Rowdy Roddy Piper, before his eventual release on April 3rd, 2004. However, he was more than just a professional wrestler. In the years following his run with the WWE, OHaire dabbled in with kickboxing and mixed martial arts. He further worked as a bodyguard and bouncer on occasion, and most recently worked as a hair stylist in South Carolina. As mentioned in yesterdays report, in lieu of flowers, Sean Christopher Haires family is requesting people instead donate to the local Spartanburg YMCA in his memory.
