Seth Rollins has revealed that Sting is okay and is going to make a good recovery. The WWE Champion was speaking with the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, and said that Sting's Night Of Champions injury was a freak accident which he felt terrible about. Ironically enough, Sting got a stinger. It happens to all of us, but it was just bad timing in his situation. We got through it, and hes a professional. He went on, I mean nothing against Sting hes in phenomenal condition, but hes also a 56-year-old man. I have taken the buckle bomb myself many times. Its just one of those things. Its a freak accident. I feel terrible. I was definitely concerned about his health, still am, but after tests and everything, he seems to be okay, so its all good. Hes going to make a good recovery. It was reported by Dave Meltzer that the injury was neck related, but Rollins' words seem to indicate the severity wasn't as bad as first feared. The last line especially sounds promising for Sting's WWE future "he seems to be okay, so its all good. Hes going to make a good recovery. The incident went down in September's Night Of Champions main event, which had the WCW Icon challenging Rollins for the WWE Title. It was an okay match, but once Sting took a buckle bomb from Rollins, it was clear something was up. The match had to be stalled, and Sting was checked on. They then went straight to the finish, with Rollins retaining the title. Rollins also mentioned in the interview how amazing it was to step in the ring with a wrestler he was such a huge fan of when growing up. He actually went as Sting at Halloween when he was thirteen and fourteen.
