The current Universal Champion is regularly bringing in low numbers on WWE Raw.

In some news that doesn’t bode particularly well for current WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins, segments led by him on WWE Raw over the last month have been pulling in poor viewing figures.

Not just ‘not great’ numbers, but Rollins’ segments – as per Wrestling Observer Radio – have been the lowest rated quarter-hour segments on Raw throughout September.

At present, Seth is entangled in a feud with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, yet the majority of Rollins’ segments on Raw are just him cutting ten-minute promos that we've all heard before.

We’ve seen Seth labelled The King Slayer, The Beast Slayer, and even The Monster Slayer, but maybe a change to The Ratings Slayer would be more apt.

To be fair to Rollins, he’s not been given all that much to work with in terms of making him look like a strong babyface character. Granted, his in-ring work has been, as ever, impressive, and obviously big wins over Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman help give him some credibility, yet it always feels as if WWE creative is one step away from dropping the ball with the former Shield member.

For some reason, WWE struggles to make Seth Rollins all that likeable of a character once the “BURN IT DOWN!!!!” finishes. And to think, this is a performer who has organically made himself the hottest babyface act at several points throughout his WWE career.

The Fiend challenges for Rollins' Universal Championship this Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell.
