There is a rumour that Seth Rollins versus John Cena will be booked as the show closing main event at WWE Night Of Champions. That would mean Rollins' WWE Title match against Sting is the show opener. The placement of Cena in the last match berth would hardly be surprising, but it will raise some eyebrows if the WWE Title and Sting are relegated to a curtain jerker capacity. Plus, surely WWE wouldn't change the WWE Title in an opening match of a special. Right now, nothing is a lock. Either match could be the main event, and the rumours going around are probably stemming from the internal booking conversations in WWE. They're still making their mind up. Cena has backstage power and shows with him in the main event do better. But from most fan perspectives, the tradition of the WWE Title as the main event is one that should be honoured. It would also be a bit of a slap in the face to Sting, to give him this big match, and then not put it on last. Something that could be playing into WWE's thinking, is the quality of the Rollins versus Cena match at SummerSlam. The two men had great chemistry and are likely to have another good contest this month. Sting is more of a risk, given his age, but Rollins should still help him to his best match in years.
