Several Wrestlers No-Show GCW 'Devil In A New Dress' Show
Former ROH Champion Bandido was amongst the wrestlers to no-show GCW this weekend.
Several notable independent wrestlers no-showed this Sunday's GCW Devil In A New Dress event in San Francisco, California, including former Ring Of Honor World Champion Bandido.
Bandido, who was due to wrestle AEW-contracted prodigy Nick Wayne on the show, did not board his flight to San Francisco, as acknowledged by GCW on Twitter roughly one hour before the show started:-
It appears as though @bandidowrestler did not get on his flight to San Francisco today for tonight's GCW event. We haven't heard from him and he hasn't replied to any of our messages.
AdvertisementWe apologize and will do our best to come up with a suitable replacement.

The 26-year-old has since issued the following, saying that the no-show was his own fault:-
Hello to all @GCWrestling_ fans, I just wanna say sorry for not be there tonight in San Francisco! Thank you for all the people to take care about me, Im fine! It was my fault and I hope make up those things as soon as possible see you soon amigos!! ??

Wayne ended up wrestling reigning GCW Tag Team Champion Effy on the card instead.
Also absent from Devil In A New Dress was GCW stalwart Gringo Loco, who had been advertised for the show too. No reason for his absence has been provided. His scheduled opponent, Jimmy Lloyd, wrestled Masha Slamovich instead.
There were further absences in the form of Jacob Fatu and Biff Busick, though both of these were acknowledged by GCW. Fatu, the former MLW World Champion, was hit by travel issues, resulting in him being replaced in a six-man tag team match, while Busick was ruled out of Devil In A New Dress for similar reasons earlier in the day:-
Due to travel issue, Biff will be unable to appear on today's event. He will return to GCW on 4/30 in AC.

The second of two GCW shows in California this past weekend, Devil In A New Dress was marketed largely around NJPW legend Minoru Suzuki vs. 'Speedball' Mike Bailey.
