The former Isaiah Scott debuted at tonight's Revolution 2022 pay-per-view. Introduced by Tony Schiavone as part of a special contract signing after the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, Strickland walked out, looking like a million dollars in his suit, and cut a brief promo for his first appearance. It was a short, snappy segment that gave a taste of Swerve's character without overstaying its welcome.

Tony Khan has already fired off the customary tweet:-

Strickland's AEW arrival had been rumoured for several months, going all the way back to his WWE release in late 2021. Those rumours intensified over the days leading up to Revolution, where he was finally unveiled, having spent only a few months in the wrestling wilderness.

Cut by WWE along with the surviving Hit Row members in November 2021, Strickland had previously shone as the NXT North American Champion before being moved to the main roster alongside Top Dolla, Ashante 'Thee' Adonis, and B-Fab. Sadly, Hit Row was cut off at the knees, with B-Fab's release preceding the other members by a fortnight.

Strickland will surely have greater opportunities to succeed in AEW.
