Sheamus Praises "Phenomenal" WWE NXT UK Star
"He just looks like he takes chunks out of trees and eats live sheep!"
Sheamus told Give Me Sport that he's been impressed by NXT UK star Wolfgang since the pair first wrestled on the independent scene back in 2005.
In a... unique manner, the Irishman praised his Scottish counterpart by saying he, "just looks like he takes chunks out of trees and eats live sheep!". Having met the man and spent significant time with him behind the scenes at wrestling events, this writer can neither confirm nor deny that Wolfgang devours live animals for fun.
Seriously, this is a huge compliment coming from someone who has been to the tippy-top of the WWE ladder, and Sheamus didn't stop there. He also doffed his cap towards Wolfgang's Gallus stablemates Mark and Joe Coffey, but specifically said that the big bad wolf's athleticism for such a big lad made him "phenomenal".
Sheamus stopped short of saying he'd like to drop by NXT UK for a clash with Wolfgang. That'd be some match though, and it'd be perfect for one of the UK TakeOvers WWE are running. Dublin, maybe? Stranger things have happened.
It's cool that Sheamus pays so much attention to other shows under the WWE banner.
