Shelton Benjamin's WWE Return Officially Announced
The brand split has brought the return of an awesome talent.
When the brand split became finalized, the wrestling world started going crazy with rumors and reports of various former WWE talents who would either be returning or had been contacted by the company in regards to rejoining the roster.
One of the more prominent names was Shelton Benjamin, and the rumor was confirmed as fact during SmackDown Live when WWE announced that the athletic superstar will be a part of the blue brand coming very soon.
For those fans unfamiliar with Benjamin, he's one of the most dynamic and thrilling workers to ever step foot in a WWE ring. The former college wrestling standout and godfather to Brock Lesnar's son is perhaps best known for his time spent as 1/2 of The World's Greatest Tag Team alongside partner Charlie Haas, as well as his breathtaking performances in several Money in the Bank ladder matches.
What "The Gold Standard" lacks in charisma - an area he's sometimes unfairly criticized for - he more than makes up for with his ability to tear the house down once the bell rings. He'll be an outstanding addition to the WWE roster, and fans are already salivating at the prospect of Benjamin locking horns with fellow elite SmackDown workers such as AJ Styles, Apollo Crews and American Alpha.
