Shield Reunion Video Brings In Huge YouTube Views For WWE
It's the company's most watched clip since the Hardy Boyz return.
The Shield reuniting on Raw this week has become the most-viewed WWE YouTube video since April.
The clip, which sees the faction's original cast working in tandem for the first time since their split - a backstage segment last year excepted - has garnered 3.7 million views in the 24 hours since it was uploaded.
This makes it WWE's most popular YouTube submission since a video of the Hardy Boyz making a surprise return at WrestleMania 33 earlier this year.
The trio will now square off in what is sure to be a chaotic four-on-three handicap Tables, Ladders & Chairs match with The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro and Braun Strowman at October's Raw pay-per-view of the same name later this month.
With their long-awaited reconciliation coming just in time for Survivor Series, it's probably safe to say they will also be in five-on-five traditional elimination match action against a team led by either Miz or Strowman.
If there's a downside, it's that the crowd's goodwill on Monday was very obviously in aid of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, with Roman - despite the company's best efforts - still unable to command a positive fan reaction.
Perhaps, this time round, it will be The Big Dog who takes a chair to his friends' backs.
