Six-Woman Tag Team Match Added To WWE SummerSlam 2016
Naomi, Carmella & Becky Lynch to take on Natalya, Alexa Bliss & Eva Marie.
With five days to go until SummerSlam 2016, one final match has been added to the card.
The entire Smackdown women's roster will be in action in a six-woman tag team contest as Naomi, Carmella, and Becky Lynch take on Natalya, Alexa Bliss, and Eva Marie.
The match was set up on Smackdown when Becky and Carmella took on Natalya and Alexa. For the second consecutive week, Eva Marie distracted Becky by making her entrance while "The Irish Lass-kicker" was competing, but Naomi - whom Eva Marie stood up for a match earlier in the show - came out and confronted Eva.
Eva ran and Naomi chased her down to the ring, allowing Natalya to take advantage of the chaos and roll Becky up. The former NXT star kicked out and applied the Dis-arm-her, forcing the submission. Following the bout, the winners and Naomi celebrated.
The SummerSlam match will feature every active woman currently on the Smackdown roster - including Eva Marie, who will be making her official in-ring debut for the the brand.
This fall, Smackdown is expected to introduce its own Women's Championship, making this bout a precursor to regular division action.
