SPOILER! Top Star Makes "First Appearance" On AEW Rampage!
Someone special will be stopping by on this week's pre-taped edition of AEW Rampage.
MJF will officially debut on Rampage during this coming Friday's episode of the now 'C'-level AEW weekly.
Yes, it's true. MJF has shown up in pre-tapes and recaps on Rampage, but he's never wrestled a match or made a meaningful appearance on the show before now. This, if nothing else, shows that Tony Khan hasn't totally given up on Rampage despite the addition of Collision to his weekly workload.
That's heartening to those who want more from Friday nights.
Rampage was taped ahead of time on Wednesday, and it'll feature another verbal showdown between AEW World Title rivals MJF and Adam Cole. Then, Friedman will go on to defend his belt against Hiroshi Tanahashi on Sunday's Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
It's no surprise that All Elite touted MJF's first ever appearance on Rampage as must-see fare for fans. The reigning World Champ hasn't shown up on the show much since it launched in 2021, so it's great to see a change there.
Will Ospreay, who wrestles Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door, is also scheduled to work a six-man tag on this week's Rampage before the pay-per-view lands.
